Due to good arrival, city residents are buying it in large quantities. The daily consumption of this raw gram is so much that it seems as if the taste of other vegetables pales in comparison to it. Due to its amazing taste, people are buying this vegetable in large quantities from the market. From health point of view, green gram also fulfills the deficiency of blood.

Hardly green gram vegetable is visible in the market for only a month. Compared to other green vegetables, the shelf life of this raw gram is also longer. It does not spoil for 5 to 6 days and as a vegetable, this raw gram tastes just like chickpeas.

Its daily consumption in Karauli is 30 quintals.
This time in Karauli, along with wheat, gram has also received good water. Due to this, its production has also been in bumper quantity. For this reason, along with its good arrival in the markets, its sales are also good in the last few days. Vegetable trader Lokendra Saini said that about 30 quintals of raw gram is being consumed daily in Karauli. Saini told that this raw gram also gives good taste to vegetables. At home, its chutney and especially its wet vegetable with buttermilk is fun to eat. According to Saini, at present this raw gram is being sold at ₹ 30 per kg in Karauli.

Hardly comes to market for 30 days
Vegetable traders say that dry gram is available in the market throughout the year. But this raw gram is available in the markets only for about 30 days before Holi in the month of Phalgun. In this season, as soon as the wheat crop is harvested, it starts arriving in the markets. Traders say that its demand also remains heavy.

Sunita Devi, the woman who came to the market to buy this raw gram, told that ‘Dochkar Kadi’ of raw gram is also good and it can be made with potatoes and chickpeas also. Even with simple spices, this raw gram gives delicious taste to the vegetable.

Tastes amazing with buttermilk
On the other hand, while buying raw gram, an elderly woman in the market told that its vegetable with buttermilk is very good. To make it with sourness, first of all it is peeled and then its grains are crushed and fried in oil. After frying it well in oil, spices and sourness are added to it. This raw gram vegetable tastes very good with sourness.

Green gram vegetable is very beneficial for health. Apart from being rich in protein, it is also rich in Vitamin A, B and C. Muscles also become stronger by its consumption. Apart from this, green gram also proves helpful in weight loss. It also compensates for the lack of blood in the body and by consuming it, the body gets both energy and agility in sufficient quantity.
